Joanne D. (Witherow) Cosme

Joanne D. Cosme of Florence, passed away Sunday February 1, 2026 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly at the age of 77. Born in Mt. Holly, she was a lifelong resident of Burlington until moving to Florence. She worked for many years at Farmers and Mechanics Bank in Burlington Twp. until her retirement. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, first in Burlington where she served as President and then in Mt. Holly, where she served as Secretary and then Chaplain. She was an avid bingo player and animal lover. She most enjoyed spending time with family, particularly making memories with her granddaughter and experiencing many firsts with her great grandson. Joanne was predeceased by her parents Wilson and Bertha (nee Simcox) Witherow and her brother David Witherow. She is survived by her children; Charles, Jr., Kristen and Nicholas (Katrina), her granddaughter Sara (Benny) and great grandson Nolan. She is also survived by her sister Linda Johnston, sister in law Betty Witherow, niece Lori Bovell, nephew Erik Johnston as well as many other family members and friends. A visitation for Joanne will be held Friday March 20th from 10-11am at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. A funeral service will begin at 11am. Interment will be held privately.
