Rita Barber, 92, of Westampton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026. She was born in April 1933 and spent her early years in Burlington. She was a life-long resident of Burlington County. She lived a life filled with laughter, resilience, and unmistakable spirit. Rita was predeceased by her beloved husband, George Barber, and her son, Doug. She is survived by her many cousins, who will remember her fondly and cherish the memories they shared with her. In her younger years, Rita loved to dance and sing, always embracing life with energy and enthusiasm. She especially treasured the summers spent at her home on Long Beach Island, where she found joy, comfort, and happy moments by the shore. Rita was always quick with a joke and well known for making people laugh. Her feisty personality, sharp wit, and lively presence left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Visitation will be held Thursday evening at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, from six to eight. She was a long-serving member of St. Mary’s Church in Burlington, where a Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 followed by the burial in the churchyard. All are welcome to a luncheon at the Burlington Country Club. Rita Barber will be remembered for her strength, her humor, and the joy she brought into the lives of others. She will be deeply missed.
